Junior Jug (Girls Inter-District Event)
The Junior Jug Qld Inter District Matchplay event played in Goondiwindi concluded on Wednesday, 1st July. The Downs & SW team of Zoe Field, Natalie Hollis and Keely Buckley were the overall winnerss, second place was shared by Gold Coast, Far NQ & Brisbane District, closely followed by Wide Bay Burnett and Nth Qld.
Brisbane golfers, Katie Sparks & Ashleigh Blacksell, played well to snatch a share of second place after a hard fought win over day two leaders, Gold Coast. However, Downs & SW finished with a convincing win over last years winners, Nth Qld, to win the Jug.
The event will be held in Mossman, Far Nth Qld District, in 2010.
